My name is Ivan Diaz. I started my career with Wells Fargo Bank in the late 90s, managing several retail banking branches in the San Francisco Bay Area. I transitioned into the Mortgage Industry in 2008 when I was approached by a colleague to lead a joint venture between WF Home Mortgage and the largest home builder in Northern CA, Seeno Homes/Discovery Builders. Little did I know, this opportunity would mark the beginning of a long mortgage career just as the housing bubble was about to burst. I was fortunate enough to build a strong network of professional clients through my early career that helped me build a pipeline of success during tough times. In 2012, I went back to school at Golden Gate University to bridge my passion for financial services and technology (FinTech) while honing my skills as a seasoned mortgage originator. I learned to leverage marketing SaaS products and build realtor & mortgage lead funnels across several markets in California and Texas. Today, I pride myself on being the go-to lender and referral partner among niche communities and an expert in mortgage guidelines. I reside in Austin, TX, with my wife, Evany, and daughter, Sadie. I have two boys, Evan and Sebastian, who still live in the Bay Area while they start and attend college. I stay active, enjoying the outdoors and logging miles on my road bike or running Austin’s trails.
